This treatment leaves our hardwood maple boards a beautiful coffee brown with the strength of the board being on par with one untreated. Torrefied wood is an entirely natural and eco-friendly choice, eliminating the use of any harmful chemicals. These boards engrave beautifully and make your design stand out from the rest. Torrefied wood has also less of a tendency to warp or shrink due to temperature and humidity variations.
